I’m behind in most everything these days.  If I was ever going to post some kind of 2008 retrospective, its way past an appropriate time for that.  It is, however, not too late to look towards the remaining 50 weeks of 2009.  These are not resolutions, per se, but rather predictions.  Or at least goals.  Hopes?  Impossible dreams?  You decide.

This is usually the time of year that I spend the most time online dreaming about being outdoors.  While I’m still not on my bike nearly as often as I’d like, I’m finding that my time online is spent, instead of dreaming of touring, busily working as a Certified Real Estate Appraiser.  (that is kinda a big deal for me, I’ve been working on getting certified for years.)  Its a nice change, though I’m finding it hard to want to sit at computer for the fun things.  Sorry blogosphere.

I’m going to eat meat this year, I think.  I’ve been a vegetarian for over 10 years.  Well, ok I started eating fish about 3 years ago.  Someone talk me out of this one.  Quick!

Oh yea, and I’m working from home alot these days.  Which is, simply put, the best.  Hello iTunes library!  Hello possibility of actually doing a happy hour someday!

Beer of the Bike is still going strong this year.  Our monthly bike ride is getting bigger and better.  And we’re working on a ride for Philly Beer Week.  Stay tuned for more details on that.

I love cheese.  I think you might know this.  The ratio of time spent eating cheese to time spent writing about it is way unbalanced.  I hope to remedy that in 2009.  I had a little letdown in my affair with Stilton on New Years Eve, and was promptly seduced by a new love last weekend, Petit Basque.  Lets do that again sometime.

What happened to gin?  I love it, but I never drink it.  It doesn’t fit my image these days? I didn’t even know I had an image.  So screw that, I’m going to drink some gin.  Soon.  And single malt scotch.  And dark rum.  And wine.  Just kidding.

Welcome 2009, the year of variety and frequency.
